Second Chance Pre-Loved Fashion Sale 2019

Now planning our fifteenth year of fundraising for New Horizons for Women Trust, supporting women taking second chance education opportunities

We're gearing up for a fabulous  2019 Preloved Fashion Sale

It’s that time of the year again.  No, I don’t mean the end of year frantic rush to do everything before Christmas, I mean it’s the beginning of our preparation for the 2019 Preloved Fashion Sale giving clothes and accessories a second chance to sparkle.

We have a new home

I’m delighted to tell you that just last week we secured new space to replace the work and storage space we had in the central city.  Huge thanks to Sharon and Deborah for their hard work and networking. Thank you too to Mibar Enterprises and MunroBenge for the lease and property management of our old and new space.

We have moved into our new space now and will take a little rest for the next few weeks.

Time to check your wardrobe

During that time when you get a spare moment, do check your wardrobe for those items you haven’t worn in the past year – or 2 – or 3.  If they are designer or High Street labels, in good condition with no missing buttons, or broken zips, etc, put them aside ready to send to our drop-off points towards the end of January. Our customers are very choosy and will only buy the best of your cast-offs!

Sale date and drop off points to come

Our next job is to confirm the date for the sale with the Wesley Hall management.

So the next email to you (in January) will tell you where the 2019 drop-off points are and hopefully an early April sale date.

Hutt Valley and Kapiti needs you

In recent years we’ve been asked about drop-off points in the Hutt Valley.  One of the issues is that we need someone to pick up the items and get them to our work centre in the Wellington CBD on a regular basis between January and April.

We will need a new co-ordinator on the Kapiti Coast too as I am leaving the district.

So if you live in either the Hutt Valley or Kapiti Coast and are interested in helping out in this way, do let us know. Contact us for more information.

Till 2019

Meantime, until I chat again in 2019, best wishes for a happy and peaceful festive season from the Second Chance Group
