WHAT WE DO
Selling high quality preloved fashion to raise funds for women taking a second chance at tertiary education
We sell high quality second hand clothes and accessories at an annual sale every year in March or April – our next sale is on 28 March 2020 at Wesley Church Hall in Taranaki St.
Our sole purpose is to raise funds for awards for women taking a second chance at tertiary education and more recently for an award for a refugee woman going into tertiary education. We do this mostly through the New Horizons for Women Trust which provides grants to assist women develop their potential.
Except for a very small amount for administration, all the funds raised on the day go to the women for whom we are fundraising. Our business supporters and enthusiastic sale volunteers help us to do this.
Our Preloved Fashion Sale is justly famous for the quality of its clothes. The women who return faithfully every year know that they can find stunning garments with ‘good labels’ in great condition. Our network of donors and the quality of donations increase every year.
We collect donated clothes, accessories and jewellery January to March, but we encourage women who are de-cluttering their wardrobes through the year to put clothes aside for us. We have a range of drop-off points in the Wellington and Kapiti areas [link to come].
